Bob Carter
Bob Carter was co-founder and artistic director of the original Actor's Workshop and
Repertory Company, which opened in 1980. Under his leadership, the company developed
into a critically acclaimed resident theatre company in downtown West Palm
Beach.
Bob has been teaching actors for more than three decades, and continues to also work
extensively as a professional actor and director. Well versed in all facets of theatre, he is
also a skilled behind-the-scenes technician.
Mr. Carter has been an artist-in-residence at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Bob
teaches at the Palm Beach Film School and the Miami Film School. He conducts both
private and group acting classes, drawing from all facets of his years in theatre and film.
His most recent film roles were as Mr. Barkley in "All About The Benjamins"; "A Veteran
Affair" opposite Michael Winslow; "Life Is A Drag"; and the not yet released
"Retirement" with Ossie Davis.
Bob is a longtime member of both the Screen Actors Guild and the Actors Equity Association.
Bob is currently the President and Artistic Director of Bob Carter's Actor's Workshop and Repertory Company.
